NATURAL PERFUMER – ANDREJ BABICKY

Chairman of Italy International Perfume Foundation and co-founder of “Ti Racconto un Profumo”, ( the first italian podcast dedicated to perfumes ). Mr. Babicky has more than 10 years of experience in niche fragrance and the perfume industry, working for brands like Jo Malone, Frederic Malle and Xerjoff as Store and training manager. 

Founding his own perfume brand, HERETIC GARDEN, Andrej is a certified natural perfumer and teacher at International Perfume Foundation based in Milan, and teaches throughout Europe.

Andrej is looking forward to join SCENTS OF GRENADA NO7 and will offer custom workshops on using Grenada‚Äôs glorious natural herbs and spices in perfumery, with a Tincturing Workshop on Saturday, May 11th. An Enfleurage Workshop featuring Ylang ylang flowers from the Perfumer’s Garden and Grenadian cocoa butter on Sunday May 12TH.

Mr. Babicky is also our expert Italian niche perfume ambassador. presenting perfumes by Alex+, Giardini di Toscana, Tuttotondo, Xerjoff Perfume, and other Italian Niche Perfume Houses, with his own work for Heretic Garden perfumes during a multi course Italian dinner with Chef Gianpaolo Gagliardi.

CHEF GIANPAOLO GAGLIARDI

Founder of Pasta & Vino and Grenadian resident, Chef Gianpaolo takes his passion for pasta and culinary background in Italian cuisine, to interpret Grenada’s organic produce in a multi course meal celebrating Italian Niche Perfume.

We will also feature an Italian wine presentation, paired with our meal by Chef Gianpaolo.

JANE NURSE – RENEGADE CANE RUM CO.

Jane Nurse offers a Terroir Masterclass and Rum Tasting of Renegade’s single field, Etudes, collection. From soil and climate to species and distillation techniques, we will also look at parallels in perfumery.

Harvested, milled, distilled and bottled by the distiller. Renegade is on a mission to spread the message of how great real rum is and how unique its capacity to express terroir is in the world of spirits is. Rum made from a single cane variety grown on a single farm rum is brimming with a singular character that is unforgettable.

CHEF BELINDA BISHOP – FLAVOURS OF GRENADA

Chef Belinda is considered one of the most dynamic and creative chefs in the country. Her remarkable contemporary reinventions of traditional Caribbean and Latin American dishes are all about showcasing the great flavours of the islands in ways that harmonize with the fresh, local, artisanal ingredients available in the eastern Caribbean.

Her Flavours of Grenada culinary team present the Ultimate Farm to Table experience in our Culinary Safari at the Tower Estate.

Our FRAGRANT FEAST with Five courses of Fragrance paired with Five Culinary courses, the Chef and the Perfumer amuse & delight. Let the Games Begin!

KAREN DUBIN – SNIFFAPALOOZA CO-FOUNDER

SNIFFAPALOOZA founder/ CEO ( working closely Karen Adams, COO ), Ms. Dubin worked closely to tailor this special Sniffapalooza Edition of Scents of Grenada. Well known throughout the perfume industry, Karen has created the largest perfume event organization on the planet, with global events and New York’s famed annual Fall Ball & Spring Fling events.

Karen presents a collection of Gourmand themed perfumes from the very best of international classic and the newest upstarts at our Perfume Party. A talented writer, brand representative, and perfume lover, we will be treated to a moonlit poetry reading from Karen’s perfumed pen.

ALEX MARAST – MODERN VINTAGE WINES FOUNDER

Wine maker, Alex Marast, presents a variety of Grenada’s natural bounty in his collection of fruit wines. From familiar to new and unusual, Alex’s wines offer a complex bouquet to our fragrant pairings.

TAMIKA PHILIP – OURBAYLEAF FOUNDER

Tea Blender, Tamika Philip, has collaborated on several fragrance pairings, featuring her collection of bay leaf based teas. Tamika also leads our tea blending workshop and represents the finest spices on the Spice Island of Grenada.

EERON REDHEAD – EASTERN CARIBBEAN RUM FOUNDER

Eeron’s work as a rum distiller covers a wide range of blends and notes and has been a fantastic partner for our many pairing events. From his Spiced Rum from Cannes Brulee Rum Co to his Barrel Jack rum, Eeron creates a complex flavorful world before we even get to mixing cocktails! Mr. Redhead is passionate about both the history and future of Grenadian Rum and we are happy to have him as a supporter of SCENTS of GRENADA.

MIXOLOGIST GOLD

GOLD is one of our regular VIPs and brings an amazing sense of storytelling to her unique take on mixology. From creating drinkable interpretations of perfumes, to creating cocktails that resonate paired notes, but go on to tell a new story, GOLD’s work is always as creative as it is delicious.

TERI JOHNSON – HARLEM PERFUME CO. FOUNDER

Teri Johnson joined our Grenadian Golden Jubilee Edition with perfume presentations of her LANGSTON & JOSEPHINE perfumes and her LOVE scented candle. Ms. Johnson also spoke to her tremendous success as a maker and brand founder.

CHEF TONY MAGNETIC

CHEF TONY’S interpretation of the best of Grenedian produce in new, arresting, and avante garde ways, was the talk and taste of SCENTS OF GRENADA No6. An international culinary background with a focus on Japanese cuisine informs Chef Tony’s approach. From traditional to the ultra modern, Tony’s culinary technique allows him to to serve something magical.
